We have achieved a good position,
chants our so called leaders and politicians.
And our Moon landing is in offing,
development is in full swing.
In between their boasts and claims
I saw through my window pane
standing their was a couple dejected
pale hungry their clothes all wretched
they were in ultimate despair
lost their their child
due to lack of medical care!!!
Rockets Moon landings,
were not their aim
this is indeed
a big National shame,
Is this why we fought for freedom ?

I think we the common man mean only one thing to the Politicians and that is Vote bank.
And what matters to them only is vote and they will do anything to get it and if you are not a part of it then even god can't help you. The best thing anyone can do in this situation is be a part of some group such as Gujjars, Muslims, Gorkhas, bodos. etc etc. So that you make a good vote bank and then only the politicians will listen to you.
At least you still feel that common man is a "second" citizen. If you ask me what rank I would give to a common man, then probably I would fall short of real numbers.
